The Impact of Implementing the Principles of Total Quality Management on the Quality of Healthcare Services at Tripoli Medical Center in Libya Using Structural Equation Modelling

Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of implementing the principles of Total Quality Management (TQM) on the quality of healthcare services at the Tripoli Medical Center in Libya. The study was analyzed using a descriptive quantitative approach and the study sample consisted of 351 employees at the Tripoli Medical Center in Libya, randomly selected from a distribution of 550 questionnaires, of which 391 were returned. The results showed a statistically significant impact of TQM principles on the quality of healthcare services at the Tripoli Medical Center in Libya. The study provided a range of recommendations, including the importance of implementing TQM concepts, improving and developing the quality of healthcare services through TQM, such as supporting senior management, continuous improvement of internal methods and processes, and focusing on customers. There is a need for improving the quality of healthcare services provided by government hospitals in Libya to be more responsive to customer expectations
